Step 1. Find a Video on youtube that you would like to share

Step 2. Click on the Embed button to open the options

Step 3. Select your options, the colours and the size of the viewing screen

Step 4. Copy the code that is the highlighted box *starts with <object…

Step 5. Start a new post

Step 6. Click the HTML tab

Step 7. Paste the code you copied from Youtube any where into the page you want the video to appear.

Step 8. Finish your post and publish.

You can also your plugins to add video to the sidebar, look for those instructions to come in the advanced class.

Adding pictures to your posts and pages takes a few simple steps.

I am making one assumption that you have pictures stored on your computer, that you have permission to use the pictures.  Check out the copyright rules.

Step 1. Click the Add Image button

Step 2. Click Select Files, browse to your files and click open

Step 3. Select the alignment and the size and click Insert into Post

Step 4. Finish your page or post and Save.

With Pagemash you can Customize the order your pages are listed in and manage the parent structure with this simple ajax drag-and-drop administrative interface with an option to toggle the page to be hidden from output. Great tool to quickly re-arrange your page menus.

From the Dashboard, installing from WordPress.com

Step 1 -Under Plugins, Click Add New

Step 2 – Type your keyword example: SEO, Click Search Plugins

Step 3 – Select the Plugin you want to install, Click Install. A popup box will appear.

Step 4 – If you are sure this is the plugin you want, Click Install.

Step 5 – Click Activate.

If required you can now go to settings and configure any options needed for your plugin to function as expected.

If you found or purchased a plugin from another website. You will want to confirm that it will work with your version of WordPress. You will want to create a backup of your WordPress site. Make sure that you have saved the .zip file to your local computer

Step 1 -Under Plugin, Click Add New

Step 2 – Click Upload

Step 3 – Browse to the zip file that you had previously saved.

Step 4 - Click Install Now

Step 5 – Activate Plugin.

If required you can now go to settings and configure any options needed for your plugin to function as expected.

From the Dashboard

Right on the Dashboard you can see new and recent comments, if you hover over the comment a quick link menu appears you can click approve or trash etc..

From Comments Menu

Step 1 – Click Comment

The top menu lets you filter your comments by pending, approved, spam or trash.

Step 2 – Select the comment you want to approve

Step 3 – Click Bulk Actions and select the action you want to perform ie approve

Step 4 – Click Apply

You can select several or all on the page and apply the action to all selected.

From both screens you can edit the comments

Step 1 – Click Edit or Quick Edit

Step 2 – update comments

Step 3 – Click Update Comment

In theory you can change or delete any part of the comment, we don’t recommend that you do this.  You want to create interaction with your readers, if you are in the habit of editing comments, they will stop posting.

By all means though, delete or mark as spam any comments that are inappropriate!

Step 1. Add as many pictures as you like.  Keep in mind that even then small thumbnails will take a few extra seconds to load the page.

Step 2.  Add the gallary to your post by using the code any where in a page or post that you would like the gallery to appear.

Step 3. Save or Update your page or post.

This particular gallery I have the plugin jQuery Lightbox For Native Galleries installed.
